Here at Artistic Pools, we take a slightly different approach than most of the other pool builders in the area. We are a highly creative and specialized custom builder of the highest quality backyard environments available. While most company’s business model is to push and put in as many pools as possible each year, we prefer to take the extra time necessary to do the absolute best job we can with the highest attention to detail as possible. In return, our projects take longer and generally cost more than the competition but we deliver the highest quality standards we can. We provide entire turn-key projects in which we do all the trades in house and do not hire, or require you to hire, another contractor for the duration of your entire project, regardless of how large it is. We can handle it all. We build our own pool houses and porches, pour our own concrete, provide all of the electrical and plumbing requirements, build our own waterfalls and spas, and provide the fencing. This helps to provide you with the most stress free and well-coordinated project possible.
The Owners:
We have a unique father-son ownership team that provides the best combined traits to keep the company running efficiently. Rick Sr. has been installing pools since the 1970s and has the experience, resources, tools, equipment, work ethic, connections, and high-quality standards that come with running a successful construction company for over four decades. Rick Jr. comes in and provides the energy, creativity, youthful ambition, and desire to prove himself. This rare combination of experience and capital but also youth, energy, and customer service allow us to continue to keep every customer we service satisfied. Our track record speaks for itself. Over 40 years in business and thousands of contracts and we’ve never been sued. It’s simple really, we do what we say we’re going to do, we do a great job at it, and we quickly and properly fix any shortcomings that may up come along the way. Lastly, you will receive both Rick Sr. and Rick Jr. personal cell phone numbers. We are 100% dedicated to our business and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We don’t take any vacations or days off, even in the winter, so we can be here for you any time you need us.
Our Crew:
Our construction crew is another aspect that makes our company special. We hire only the best pool professionals in the area. We are not hiring summer seasonal help in the form of inexperienced workers as we feel this is where the quality drops. Our guys are career pool builders that have been with us for decades. We prefer to continue to hire only the best employees who apply because we feel they continue to provide the highest quality finished product. We also prefer to keep our crew small. We don’t believe in hiring too many guys and sending them all over as we would be unable to provide the proper level of owner supervision required to ensure our projects turn out properly. We only take on one project at a time so we can ensure that we can complete the project efficiently but also provide the customer the highest level of attention. In return, this does make our projects take a little more time than the competition, and we can’t take on nearly every project that comes our way, but the customers that do decide to go with us get the best possible customer service and finished product.
You’re planning a substantial investment into your residence and we subscribe to the philosophy that if you’re going to do something, you might as well do it right. Due to the fact that we provide so many services, we have substantial overhead resulting from owning our highly specialized heavy construction equipment. Couple that with the fact that we only hire the best and highest paid workers in the area and take the extra time to do the job right, we simply cannot be competitive price-wise with companies whose goal is to hire as many employees as possible and install as many pools as possible. With that being said, our business model may not allow us to be the best company for your needs. However, if you’re looking for the highest quality installation, with the highest quality materials, put in by career pool builders with the highest attention to detail and proper supervision, while also taking the extra time to do things right the first time, then you’ve found the right company for you.
Please note: We believe that the owner/operator model is the best way to operate a construction business as it provides the highest amount of control over the company. With that philosophy in mind, we do not employ any salesmen. Due to the fact that we do all the sales consultations ourselves, while also continuing to work and supervise in the field on a daily basis, sometimes we are unable to keep up with all the consultation requests in the busy summer months and are simply unable to meet with every customer that reaches out to us. We apologize in advance if we are unable to meet with you. In order to keep our quality standards as high as possible, we generally do not travel more than 30 minutes from Harrison City, PA to do any installations.
